To enable the use of Trend Micro Spam Filtering a simple change is needed to your domain MX records - you simply get your current ISP to point your MX records to Trend Micro Spam Filtering's filtering servers.
Once these DNS changes have been applied, mail will enter the Trend Micro Spam Filtering system before entering your network.

During the filtering process there are a number of steps which are completed before email is deemed safe and thus moved to your network.

If your email systems go down, we will continue to accept mail for your domain and hold it until your mail server is back online. Then, well deliver it in a flow controlled fashion to make sure your server isn’t overwhelmed.

Reporting
Once a day you will get an email from Trend Micro Spam Filtering with a listing of messages that were stored in the quarantine. You can scroll through this list in a few seconds and find if anything you may find important is quarantined -- if you find it just click on the link to either deliver the email or trust the sender and you're done.
